“Plymouth Writers’ Group is an established and recognised group in Plymouth. We have published a series of anthologies and run international short-story competitions. We meet in the University once a month on the 2nd Saturday from 1045 to 1300. A monthly subscription of £3 is only paid by attending members. We are not tutor-led; instead a self-supporting group with a variety of skills, experience and outputs.
Our writing covers short stories, poetry, longer pieces of work, as well as the occasional screen/stage/radio script. Established, as well as ‘new’” writers are welcome, although we sometimes have to ration membership to allow the monthly sessions to be meaningful and offer opportunities for realistic feedback on writing. We offer potential members the chance to attend as Guests/Observers.
